About me

Behind Studio Lippi Ceramics, it's me, Lucie.
I was born in France and lived in the South of France for a few years, surrounded by beautiful landscapes. After spending 6 years in Vancouver, Canada, where I discovered wheel-throwing in 2022, I unexpectedly started pottery as a hobby, which quickly became a lasting passion. I'm now based in Dublin, Ireland, where I continue to develop my work.
I've always been drawn to handmade objects and creativity, but I'm also someone who tends to want results quickly. Ceramics challenged that. It taught me patience, consistency, and to embrace the slow process — which is why it's the only craft I've truly stayed committed to over time.
Each piece I make is wheel-thrown. I mainly create espresso cups, along with soap dishes, bowls, butter dishes, and other functional homeware for everyday use.
My work is minimalist and earthy, inspired by my French roots and travels — the soft tones of natural landscapes, the textures of clay, and an understated aesthetic. I name my collections after places in France that are meaningful to me, such as Chamonix in the Alps or Maguelone in the South.
For me, ceramics is about creating objects that are both beautiful and functional — pieces meant to be used, held, and lived with. Each one carries subtle variations that reflect its handmade nature and tell the unique story of its making.

What I value in my work
Handcrafted
Every piece is wheel-thrown and hand-finished in our studio. No molds, no mass production — just the potter’s hands and the clay.
Sustainable
We source our clay and glazes locally where possible, minimize waste in our process, and create pieces designed to last a lifetime.
Made to Last
Our stoneware is fired at high temperatures for durability. Dishwasher and microwave safe, these pieces are built for everyday use.
